Spring Kitchen Decor Ideas

The kitchen is always one of my favorite places to switch up for the seasons. A few fun spring items definitely help to bring a little more joy to those mundane kitchen tasks. I find the kitchen the quickest and easiest place in our home to transform. Just a few simple touches here and there are all that’s needed to add that fresh spring feeling!

Spring Kitchen Decor Ideas (3)

I didn’t actually purchase anything new this year, but it’s always fun to just use what you have in different ways. You can see some of my previous spring kitchen home tours HERE and HERE to see how I incorporated the same decor principles in years past. Here are some of my favorite spring kitchen decor ideas…

Choose a color scheme or theme.

I love having a neutral kitchen so I can change up my accent colors each season. While I don’t usually like to stick too closely to a specific theme, having a loose idea of the colors and feel you would like in the space is always helpful. This year, I wanted something a little more muted and fairly simple. The pastel mini-egg colors served as my room inspiration and gave me a good excuse to stock up on mini-eggs.

Spring Kitchen Decor Ideas (5)

Look for functional decor pieces.

Since kitchen counter space is prime real estate, look for items that are both cute and functional in a kitchen space. This helps to cut back on counter clutter while still providing that seasonal touch. Look for seasonal dish towels, salt and pepper shakers, cute bowls, or other useful kitchen items that give you those spring vibes.

Spring Kitchen Decor Ideas (6)

Cookie jars are a favorite item of mine to switch up for the seasons, as they’re a great storage space for smaller kitchen items when not in use for actual cookie storage. This sweet little bunny cookie jar can hold seasonal dish towels or cookie cutters, hide extra cleaning supplies or kitchen utensils, or store anything else you’d like to keep close by but out of sight.

Spring Kitchen Decor Ideas (7)

I also found this cute butter dish at HomeSense last year and he actually matched a couple of other bunny pieces that I had. I always love a good HomeSense find!

Spring Kitchen Decor Ideas (8)

Create a display with everyday items.

I always like to change around our sink display for the different seasons. It definitely makes washing dishes a little more enjoyable! Incorporate those everyday items that you use like dish soap, hand soap, or a scrub brush into a pretty seasonal vignette. I like to switch up the scents of our soaps too for a more spring-like feel.

Spring Kitchen Decor Ideas (9)

I used some faux branches for our display and then placed all of the dish washing items on a small ceramic tray. A little white bunny and a couple of faux Easter eggs tie everything together with rest of our the spring kitchen decor.

Pop in a printable.

if you’ve been around here before, you know how much I love creating printable artwork for my seasonal decor. Printables are one of the quickest and most inexpensive ways to add in that spring touch. You can even store out of season prints right in the frame so they’re easy to switch out each season. Since I was going with a more subdued color scheme this year, I used this Hippity Hoppity Easter Bunny print that I used in our spring dining room last year. If you’re looking for other designs, you can find all of my Easter printables HERE and some spring designs HERE and HERE.

Add natural elements.

Spring is the season of new beginnings – plants and trees begin to grow again, new seedlings sprout, and the flowers start to bloom – so bring some of those touches indoors. Add some greenery, branches, or flowers to bring some life to your space. If it’s still early in the season or you can’t always have fresh flowers, there are lots of beautiful faux greenery and flower options on the market these days. These tulips from Urban Barn even have a real feel to them and can be shaped however you would like {they’re almost identical to these tulips that I purchased for our tulip basket wreath}

If you’re looking for easy to care for planter ideas, tropical plants are always my go-to, and can be arranged used in a pot on their own or combined into a cute spring planter like this tropical Easter planter that I made a couple of years ago.

Spring Kitchen Decor Ideas (13)

Use trays to control the clutter.

Trays are perfect for minimizing the visual clutter and help to keep everything organized in one spot. While I don’t drink coffee, I do love a nice chai latte in the morning and a good smoothie bowl. This corner has everything I need along with a cute little display for the prettier items. The blender is right in the cabinet below and the mugs and smoothie bowl toppings are in the cupboard above so everything is right on hand. You can find more free printable coffee bar labels {like the chai label} HERE if you’re looking to put together a coffee bar or beverage station of your own.

Dress up your table.

Don’t forget to give your kitchen table a little love! Swap out the table runner {or table cloth) and create a pretty spring centerpiece.

Spring Kitchen Decor Ideas (15)

If you have multiple items for your centerpiece, place them all on a tray for a more cohesive look. This also makes it a lot easier to remove and put back the centerpiece if you need to remove it. I grouped together my favorite bunny pitcher with some tulips, another vase with some greenery, and a cute little white bunny on this pretty cutting board for my display.
