During a Brazilian butt lift, the surgeon will remove fat from typical problem zones such as abdomen,lower back and love handles. The fat is then transferred (grafted to the buttocks. Who is a good candidate for the Brazilian butt lift?
BBL can achieve very significant improvements for almost any patients with at least moderate fat excess. Best candidates are usually around 10-20% above their ideal body weight and have very localized fat deposits in the lower abdomen and love handle area. Those patients can achieve very nice results with Brazilian butt lift surgery.
Does a Brazilian butt lift leave scars?
The surgeon will need a couple of small (2-3mm incisions) to introduce the cannulas. These usually heal very well and are barely noticeable. Bear in mind that the incisions may have a bit of an inflamed appearance in the first weeks.
When would you use silicone implants?
Most patients can have a great BBL result with fat only. It is rare for our surgeons to resort to implants when at least a moderate amount of donor fat is available. Silicone implants are only used if thin patients want a very pronounced change, whilst having very little to no donor fat.
Why skin tightening (laser liposuction) after Brazilian butt lift?
To get a perfect Brazilian butt lift result with an hour-glass type figure, you want to accentuate the waistline as much as possible. High definition laser liposuction helps to achieve optimum skin tightening and contributes to a very good result if used after fat harvest with Water-Jetstream.
How long does fat survive in a BBL

How do I plan my Brazilian butt lift as an out of town patient?
Currently approx. 60% of our Brazilian butt lift patients are from out of town, mainly from other European countries where Brazilian butt lift surgery is not available. The reason is that very few surgeons in Europe have a lot of experience with this procedure, and alternatives for those patients are large and somewhat risky transatlantic trips. Owing to the high numbers of patients we see travelling from outside Spain to have Brazilian butt lift surgery with us, we have developed very robust protocols for looking after our out of town patients. What are the risks and complications associated with a BBL surgery?
When carried out correctly, BBL is an extremely safe surgery with a great patient satisfaction index. It is important to avoid overgrafting(i.e. putting too much fat), since that can be a source of problems
What is the recovery time for a Brazilian butt lift?
Most patients can return to a desk job within 2 weeks. It is important to avoid sitting to protect the grafts from pressure. Returning to full activity levels also varies case by case, but usually this occurs in 2-3 weeks. The BBL has a much shorter recovery period than butt implant surgery. You must wear a special garment (to control swelling) for a couple of weeks
